No, no es una crítica a Rollo ni a su blog. Tampoco al del 0,33%. Se trata de un site que no nos hace quedar muy bien...

Me parece que el problema es que confunden a la disciplina con la teoría neoclásica. Más allá de que sea la más exitosa - y ciertamente le pasa el trapo a chapuzas estructuralistas, marxistas y sustanitivistas onda Polanyi - no es necesariamente la única posible. Me viene a la cabeza una experiencia reciente. Un arqueólogo estaba exponiendo sobre un trabajo que hizo aplicando teoría de juegos. Se notaba mucho que la había aprendido economista mediante, porque se la pasó profiriendo la palabrota aquella de "óptimo". Shubik nunca se cansó de subrayar lo inadecuada que es esa palabra en el contexto de la teoría de juegos, pero me parece que los economistas tienden también demasiado a identificar su disciplina con un conjunto de modelos muy particulares.

si queres, hacemos una laaaaaaarga lista de predicciones de economistas, de los que mencionas como chapuceros, y de los que no mencionas como tales.

Ayj, muchas veces la gente se queda con las "predicciones" sin prestar atención a los supuestos. Es lógico que cuando los supuestos cambian también lo harán las predicciones. Pero nunca faltará el malintencionado que traiga del recuerdo la predicción inicial sin sopesar el tema de los supuestos.
si se fija, y sin el menor animo de discutirle en estos temas (:-)) solo me molesto, cpmo dije, el subirse al paredon y decir, son todos idiotas, menos los mios.
sin duda alguna que si no existira el ceteribus paribus no podrian predecir mucho mas que la lluvia, pero , en fin
ayj, o a usted lo han recomendado muy mal y se quemó con leche, o tiene un prejuicio absoluto de la profesión.
En fin, no tiene ánimo de discutir asi que aquí lo dejo.
No estoy seguro si entendí, pero, ayj, yo recibí un mensaje más bien autocrítico que juicioso de "los economistas". Y lo aplaudo por eso.
Yo soy de los que tiene la percepción juiciosa y generalizadora de que los estudios de economía se relacionan con un mayor individualismo. Sin fundamentos, sólo una percepción juiciosa y generalizadora.

Ayj, cuando léas con un mínimo de atención lo que escribí en el primer comentario te vas a dar cuenta de que no estoy cantando loas de la teoría neoclásica, sino todo lo contrario. Pero siempre voy a sostener que está posicionada sobre supuestos más firmes que las alternativas que se intentaron ensayar hasta ahora. ¿Porque? Porque parte desde una axiomática clara y porque posibilita la confección de modelos. Cuando no quieren revisar los supuestos desde los que armaron un modelo que no funciona (predicción erronea mediante) es porque están siendo malos científicos. Pero con la verborragia estructuralista ni siquiera sos eso.
